Louis Miserendino is a lifelong Marylander who was born in Baltimore. He earned his B.A. from Loyola University Maryland, graduating summa cum laude with a double major in Economics and History.
He has undertaken extensive research in economics and history for a wide variety of academic and consultancy projects in the areas of economic history, urban economics, urban history, public policy economics, housing economics, labor economics, labor history, sports economics, and financial markets. He has authored or coauthored articles for The Institute for Justice, The Maryland Journal, The Baltimore Examiner, The Daily Record, The Buffalo News, and The Baltimore Sun. He has made numerous guest appearances on local radio, and he has been interviewed on video for various news programs. Louis Miserendino’s work has been cited by Slate, Reason, and The Wall Street Journal.
A member of the Social Studies Department at Calvert Hall College High School, Louis Miserendino has won several teaching awards and presented at professional conferences. As an AP® reader, he has extensive experience grading the Advanced Placement United States History Exam.
