Dr. Anirban Basu

Dr. Basu is the chairman and CEO of Sage Policy Group, an economic and policy consulting firm that he founded in 2004. 

Headquartered in Maryland, Sage Policy Group has created a client base that spans more than forty states and seven countries and includes Fortune 500 companies, NFL teams, aquariums and zoos, state and local governments, real estate developers, insurance companies, hospitals, law firms, nonprofits, and others.

Louis Miserendino

Louis Miserendino is a lifelong Marylander who was born in Baltimore. He earned his B.A. from Loyola University Maryland, graduating summa cum laude with a double major in Economics and History.  

 

He has undertaken extensive research in economics and history for a wide variety of academic and consultancy projects in the areas of economic history, urban economics, urban history, public policy economics, housing economics, labor economics, labor history, sports economics, and financial markets. He has authored or coauthored articles for The Institute for Justice, The Maryland JournalThe Baltimore ExaminerThe Daily RecordThe Buffalo News, and The Baltimore Sun. He has made numerous guest appearances on local radio, and he has been interviewed on video for various news programs. Louis Miserendino’s work has been cited by SlateReason, and The Wall Street Journal.

A member of the Social Studies Department at Calvert Hall College High School, Louis Miserendino has won several teaching awards and presented at professional conferences. As an AP® reader, he has extensive experience grading the Advanced Placement United States History Exam.
